Maplewood Senior Living, in collaboration with AARP CT, Alzheimer's Association, Borrow My Glasses, and Goldstone Caregiver Center at Danbury Hospital presents THE PERSON COMES FIRST - A Dementia Research & Caregiving Symposium.

An in-depth look into caregiving, dementia and community resources.

Keynote Speaker: Alan Siegal, M.D.
Dr. Alan Siegal has been practicing at Geriatric and Adult Psychiatry, LLC since 1991. Currently Associate Clinical Profesor Psychiatry at Yale University School of Medicine, he was the founding director of The Alzheimer's and Cognitive Disorders Research Unit at Yale. Past President of the American Association for Geriatric Psychiatry and its Clinician of the year in 2010. He is a nationally recognized speaker and healthcare consultant. Dr. Siegal and his practice currently provide behavioral health services to a number of Connecticut assisted living facilities in Hamden and Wilton where geriatric patients are seen and engage in research on Alzheimer's disease.
