Fabrication Specialist/ Sign Installer

You'll play an important role in producing signs and graphics as well as getting them in place for everyone to see - in the ground, on a wall, on a vehicle, or hanging from a ceiling. Experience with installation, painting, channel letters, monument signs, electrical wiring, and light boxes is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities
• Fabricate, cut, route, engrave, shape, trim, and finish signs on a large variety of substrates, such as metal, wood, plastics, vinyl, and reflective sheeting.
• Operate hand and power tools such as saws, punches, knives, grinders, routers, drills, and other equipment.
• Layout and fabricate efficiently and with quality, in accordance with federal, state and company specifications.
• Fabrication and/or assembly and installation of channel letters, sign cabinets, post and panel signs, pylon signs and other various sign related projects.
• Capable of meeting deadlines while working under minimal supervision.
• Basic electrical wiring
• Takes initiative and learn/apply techniques to successfully complete job duties.
• Learn to read and interpret shop blueprints to fabricate projects as required.
• Reading or using tape measure, dial caliper to measure.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment for themselves and others.
• Maintain flexibility and work between departments as required.
• Quality control each job during and upon completion.
• Communicate with your supervisor ideas, job progress, due dates and any issues that may occur
• Put all tools away at the end of the day and work in a safe and professional manner.
• Follow company policies in accordance with employee handbook.
• Maintains satisfactory attendance and reports to work in a punctual manner.
• Maintain machinery in good working order.
• Travel to different locations within approximately 25-mile radius to perform site surveys and install various types of interior and exterior signage.

Skills & experience required
• Prior sign fabrication, installation, electrical wiring and/or welding experience a plus but not required.
• Must be computer literate and willing to learn various proprietary software programs used to fabricate signage and manage production workflow queues within the shop.
• Possess basic math and spelling skills.
• Physical demand: must be able to stand for long periods of time and able to lift over 50 pounds
• Physical demand: must be able to place onto and retrieve various types of substrates from rack including upper shelves
• Physical demand: Comfortable using a ladder.
