CURE - Center for Ultrasound Research & Education & ADOM - Academy of Diagnostic & Osteopathic Medicine

About Us

CURE, the Center for Ultrasound Research & Education, is an innovative ultrasound school based in New York, dedicated to advancing non-radiative diagnostic training. Founded by Karen Nussbaumer, BS, RDMS, RVT, CURE provides an ABHES-accredited two-year program that prepares students for careers in Diagnostic Medical Sonography and Vascular Technology. CURE's mission is to reduce reliance on radiation in healthcare by training practitioners in high-skill ultrasound techniques that are safer, faster, and more accessible.

To expand this mission nationally, ADOM (Academy of Diagnostic and Osteopathic Medicine) was founded as a sister school in Danbury, Connecticut. ADOM offers a 12-month accelerated, hybrid program that includes 2,000 hours of training across clinical, lab, and lecture formats. Graduates become skilled in real-time diagnostics without radiation, guided by ADOM’s pioneering concept of “Diagnostology”—a field that blends ultrasound mastery with lab value analysis to mimic the precision of physician-level diagnostics.

Both schools are built on a commitment to innovation, accessibility, and better patient outcomes. We welcome partnerships with healthcare systems, employers, and institutions that are ready to invest in the future of non-invasive, non-toxic diagnostic care.
